Lynn Geyer

Research Assistant

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedicine from Karolinska Institutet, during which I developed a strong interest in neuroscience. Motivated by this, I began working as a research assistant in the Jens Hjerling-Leffler lab and later completed my bachelor’s thesis in Simon Butt’s group, where I learned patch-sequencing and used it to characterize interneurons in the developing mouse cortex. I then pursued a Master’s degree in Neurochemistry at Stockholm University, during which I completed an internship in Christian Broberger’s lab to anatomically study the ventral premammillary nucleus in the hypothalamus. I later carried out my Master’s thesis in the Tripodi lab and stayed on as a research assistant. My current work focuses on characterizing the outputs of superior colliculus Pitx2 neurons using optogenetics and viral tracing techniques.
